Mr. Nathan Parker
Hello, I am Nathan Parker and I am the Agriscience teacher at Geneva County High School. I am also the FFA (Future Farmers of America) advisor here at the school. I graduated from Auburn University in May of 2021 with a degree in Agriscience Education. I have a huge passion for Agriculture and I want my students to learn through my class that Agriculture plays a huge role in our daily lives, from the clothes we wear to the food we eat. I also have a huge passion for the FFA and for young people. If it wasn't for the FFA and my ag teacher in high school, I would not be the person I am today. The FFA teaches you so many things like leadership, personal growth, and career success. My goal for our FFA chapter is to be the best in the state, and it is a goal I do not take lightly. I want our program to be a well rounded organization where the students have vast knowledge of all things Agriculture such as woodworking, welding, horticutlure, fish and wildlife, landscaping, for example. I also want us to be active within the FFA organization such as chapter, district, and state officers. I also want Hartford FFA to have a plentiful amount of CDE (Career Development Event) teams. Some examples of these are Land Judging, Tractor Driving, Agriculture Mechanices, among others. I also want our program to be active in the community. Community is what makes Hartford such a great place to be at, and Agriculture and the FFA is all about community and building relationships. I am so honored and blessed to be the Ag teacher at Hartford and I am exicted for a great school year!
