Mrs. Jessica Turley
Hi, my name is Jessica Turley and I am the 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts teacher at Geneva County Middle School. I grew up in a small town named McCalla, Alabama, which is near Birmingham and I graduated from Mcadory High School in 1995. I attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham where I received my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in 2000 and my Master of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in 2002. I moved to Dothan with my husband, Matt, and my son, Isaac, in 2012 and we have lived here ever since.
Since graduating college, I have worked as an educator in Jefferson County, Shelby County, Ozark City, and Dothan City Schools. I have had the good fortune to teach in a variety of positions to include Classroom Teacher for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, Reading and Math Interventionist, Writing Specialist, and most recently, Reading Specialist. I am especially excited to be teaching one of my favorite disciplines again and to be teaching it at Geneva County Middle School.
