My name is Dawn Hatcher.  I am the special education teacher for the middle school.  This is my 25th year of  teaching. I graduated from Slocomb in 1993.  After graduation, I attended and graduated from Enterprise State Junior College in 1995.  Then, I went on  to Troy in Dothan and graduated in December of 1997 with my Bachelor's of Education.  I am certified to teach English in 6th-12 grades.  Also, I have a certificate to teach Special Education from PK- 12th grade.  All of my experience of teaching, with the exception of half a year, has been proudly obtained here at Slocomb.  

I am happily married with two wonderful kids.  My son is a senior and my daughter is a Sophomore at Wallace Community College.  As a child, I dreamed of becoming a teacher. I am so glad that this became my reality as an adult.  Helping others to accomplish their goals is of upmost importance to me.  I look forward to an awesome year with my students.
