Experience:

My first teaching job was in Atlanta, GA and I taught K-5 Special Education.  I was in Atlanta from 1998-1999.  I then taught in Homewood, AL from 1999-2000.  That year, I taught Language and History to 6th graders.  In 2000, I moved back to the Wiregrass and taught in Daleville from 2000-2001.  I taught 6th grade math.  I taught 3rd grade at Slocomb Elementary for eight years and am currently teaching 4th grade Math and Science. 

Education: 

I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Multiple Abilities from the University of Alabama in 1998.  This qualifies me to teach Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and Special Education. 

I completed my Master's Degree in Elementary Education in October 2021 from the University of West Alabama

Biography: 

I married my husband, Adam Owens of Dothan, AL in 2004.  In 2011 we welcomed our little boy, Levi to our family.  He has added so much joy to our lives.  We look forward to what is in store for the future!
