Wow! I am entering my 22nd school year at Slocomb Elementary School. I came to teach at Slocomb Elementary in 1997. Although I grew up in nearby Dothan and was not raised a Redtop, I picked out my favorite Redtop and married him. I am married to Brian Eldridge, who teaches at the high school. Our oldest daughter is a 2016 graduate of SHS and is now attending The University of Montevallo. Our middle daughter is a 11th grader at the Alabama School of Math and Science in Mobile, AL. Our youngest daughter attends Slocomb Middle School and plays volleyball and basketball for the Redtops. I love Slocomb and the people here. Our family is very active in the Redtop Community.
I have been teaching Special Education since 1987 and I can't imagine doing anything else! I love my students and their families. Even after many years in the classroom, I still get up each morning feeling so very blessed to have been called into this amazing profession.
Our family attends Ridgecrest Baptist Church where we are very active in the music and youth ministries. In my few minutes of spare time I love to sing, read, create seasonal crafts, and watch Halmark. I love hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains, sitting on the beach, and exploring new cities.
