Biography:

Wow! I am entering my 27th year at Slocomb Elementary School. Although I grew up in nearby Dothan and was not raised a Redtop, I picked out my favorite Redtop and married him! I am married to Brian Eldridge who teaches at the high school. We have been married for 27 years. Our oldest daughter is a 2016 graduate of Slocomb High School and is now working on her PhD in Chemistry at Vanderbilt University. Our middle daughter is a Senior majoring in Chemical Engineering at Mississippi State University. Our youngest daughter is beginning her sophomore year at William Carey University this fall.

I have been teaching Special Education since 1987 and I can’t imagine doing anything else. I love my students and their families. Even after many years in the classroom, I still get up each morning feeling so very blessed to have been called into this amazing profession. Our family attends Ridgecrest Baptist Church, where we are very active in the music and youth ministries. In my few minutes of spare time, I love to sing, read, create seasonal crafts, and travel. I love hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains, sitting on the beach, and exploring new cities.
