Mr. Russell Bedingfield
I have been an educator for thirteen years. I have taught health, drivers education, and physical education. I began teaching at Demopolis High School where I was a football and baseball coach for three years. I then climbed the ladder to a 7A school in Birmingham called Clay Chalkville where I continued teaching physical education and coaching both sports. Six years ago I moved to Dothan to be the offensive coordinator and a basketball coach at Northview High School, where I taught various subjects. I have been at Geneva County the last five years teaching middle and high school physical education and coaching football. I am currently teaching all elementary physical education classes and I am the varsity basketball head coach and very glad to be here!
I have always had a passion for teaching and coaching. Growing up my father was a coach who devoted his time to children and students of all ages. I saw the impact he had on many of the young men's lives. When I graduated there was no doubt I wanted the same opportunity to be a positive role model. I believe in hard work, dedication and a positive outlook on life. I enjoy what I do and have a passion to make every student in my class and on the field better everyday.
