Summer 2015 Administration

The Geneva County School System will administer the Alabama High School Graduation Exam (AHSGE) July 6 - 10, 2015; this includes Slocomb High School, Geneva County High School and Samson High School.

Any student that plans to participate in the test administration MUST register by contacting Sherri Winingham at 334-248-1297, no later than 3:00 p.m. on

Friday, June 12, 2015.

The specific test sections will be administered as follows:

Monday, July 6 – Language

Tuesday, July 7 - Reading

Wednesday, July 8 - Math

Thursday, July 9 – Social Studies

Friday, July 10 - Biology

Any first time 9th grader in the 2009-2010 school year, and any year before, that has completed all coursework and credits required for the Alabama High School Diploma, and needs to pass any section of the Alabama High School Graduation Exam (AHSGE) may participate.

The Alabama High School Graduation Exam (AHSGE) is no longer a diploma requirement for any student who entered 9th grade for the first time in the 2010-2011 school year, or later; however, any student in the 2010-2011 cohort whose transcript reflects a “not attempted” or a failed status in one or more subject areas may continue to take the appropriate test(s).
